Terms of Service

1. General

This website is operated by Marmaris International Yacht Sport Club (MIYC). By using the site, you are deemed to accept the following terms.

2. Site Content and Intellectual Property

All content on the site (text, images, logos, race information) is the property of MIYC. It may not be copied or distributed to third parties without express permission.

3. Race and Sailing School Registrations

  • The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the information in the registration form.
  • Acceptance of an application is at MIYC's discretion.
  • Approved participants are obliged to comply with the race Sailing Instructions and the Racing Rules of Sailing.
  • MIYC may postpone or cancel races due to weather conditions or safety reasons.

4. Payment Terms and Liability

Application fees are collected through a contracted third-party payment institution / bank virtual POS infrastructure. Card details are transmitted directly to the payment institution and are not stored by MIYC.

  • The success, security and verification of the payment is the responsibility of the relevant bank/payment institution.
  • MIYC and the third parties providing the software/technical services of the website (developer/service provider) cannot be held liable for any errors, interruptions, duplicate charges, incorrect amounts or delays that may occur during payment.
  • Refund and dispute requests are subject to the rules of the relevant bank/payment institution; requests may be submitted via miyc@miyc.org.

5. E-mails and Notifications

E-mails such as application confirmations, status updates and newsletters are delivered over the internet infrastructure and third-party e-mail services. MIYC and its technical service providers cannot be held liable if an e-mail fails to arrive, is delayed, lands in the spam folder, or cannot be delivered for technical reasons. Newsletter subscriptions can be cancelled free of charge via the link in each e-mail or by writing to miyc@miyc.org.

6. Limitation of Liability

MIYC cannot be held liable for any accidents, bodily harm, boat damage or financial loss that may occur during races and events. All participants take part in events at their own risk.

The use of the website is provided "as is" without any warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. MIYC and the third parties providing the software/technical services of the website cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from possible errors or omissions in the site content or from the site being temporarily inaccessible.

7. Changes

MIYC reserves the right to change these terms without prior notice. The current terms are always published on this page.
