The Heart of Sailing in the Mediterranean

Founded in 1992, the Marmaris International Yacht Sport Club (MIYC) stands as one of the most prestigious and influential sailing organizations in Turkey and the Eastern Mediterranean. Our mission is to promote maritime culture, foster a passion for sailing across all generations, and showcase the unique natural beauty of Marmaris to the global yachting community.

MIYC is more than just a sports club; it is an international hub where sea lovers from across the globe converge. By organizing high-standard regattas, comprehensive training programs, and vibrant social events throughout the year, we lead the way in the development of yachting in Turkey.

HERITAGE

Over Three Decades of Maritime Excellence

The Marmaris International Yacht Sports Club (M.I.Y.C.) was founded in 1992 by yachtsmen and sea enthusiasts from Marmaris. Initially, yachtsmen who had a background in finance, organized various professional races among themselves. Following the expansion of clubs, they decided to transform this into an official gathering, organizing the first Marmaris International Club Race Week.

Today, M.I.Y.C. has approximately 150 members and has been organizing sailing yacht races for 20 years. Every year, nearly 150 yachts and over 1500 athletes from all over the world participate in the Marmaris International Race Week. This race is the sailing yacht race with the highest participation in Turkiye and the Eastern Mediterranean.

Besides the Marmaris International Race Week, the Winter Trophy, Trio Cup, Loryma Cup, Mediterranean Yacht Championship, Campus Cup, Channel Regatta, Kirlangic Cup, and Burhanettin Tekdag Year-End Cup were among the races organized by M.I.Y.C.

M.I.Y.C., as one of Turkiye's most prestigious yacht clubs, hosts countless athletes every year and supports the advancement of sailing.
